In December of 23', eons before pump.fun existed, the community came together to push the OG $catjam forward. We built amazing content, a dope site, made friends with popcat, and other iconic tokens in the space but then the catfight started.
The cat starts jammin'
After the popcat contract authority drama with the dev extorting the entire community and @jpeggler coming to the rescue, we started looking for our own CA, turns out no one knew who owned it, and that was a problem. We put community first and didnt want to run into the same drama that popcat did.
Turns out... we DID NOT have the authoriteh!
Scammers tryin to scam
There was only one person in the TG that magically had a connect with the token authority owner, and that conveniently ended up being the only admin of the TG group...They refused to put us in contact with the owner directly after many many many requests. They started asking us for SOL to 'send to the owner'. It became obvious the person we were dealing with was not who they say. Eventually, all the CTO members were booted from the TG all together.
Protect the community
After an exhaustive back and forth, and failing to identify the true owner of the catjam token authority, we made the hard choice to go silent while we desperately tried to find a solution. We didnt have the technical know how to launch our own token. If only there was a platform that would let us do that easily...
